Casa privacy

Casa helps families send money home. The money itself, your balance, your card and your identity checks live in your own Whop account; Casa is not a bank and never holds your money.

What Casa stores

• Your Whop sign-in. When you sign in with Whop, Casa receives your Whop user ID, name and username. Casa keeps an encrypted session so you stay signed in: in your phone's secure keychain in the app, or in a secure cookie on the web. Casa never sees your Whop password.
• Your family list. The people you add (what you call them, their city, birthday, look and Whop username) are saved on your own phone. They are not uploaded.
• Family connections. If you invite someone and you both confirm, Casa stores both names, Whop usernames and user IDs, the connection's dates, and a scrambled (hashed) copy of the invitation code, so you can see each other in Casa.
• Money-arrived alerts. If you turn them on, Casa stores your phone's notification address and your language, so connected family can alert you when they send money. Casa keeps up to five phones per person and a count of alerts to limit how many are sent.

What Casa does not store

• Card numbers, bank details, identity documents and balances. These stay inside Whop's own secure screens.
• What you buy with your card. Family who support you never see your purchases in Casa.
• Advertising or tracking data. Casa has no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

Who else is involved

• Whop provides accounts, balances, sending, cards and identity checks. Its own privacy policy applies to what you do there.
• Supabase hosts the family-connection and alert records described above.
• Expo delivers money-arrived alerts to your phone.
• open.er-api.com provides the exchange rates Casa shows. No personal information is sent.

Your choices

• Disconnect from a family member at any time. It ends the connection for both of you.
• Turn off money-arrived alerts in the app, or sign out, and this phone's notification address is deleted.
• Remove people from your family list on your phone at any time.
• To have your family connections and alert records deleted, contact us via the “Help & answers” link in the app.
