Who does what
Casa
Casa Family, Inc. · Delaware corporation · New York, NY
Builds the app you send and spend with: your family, sends, alerts and invites. Casa is not a bank and never holds your money.
Whop
Whop Inc. · Brooklyn, NY
Provides your account, your balance, sending between accounts, identity checks and the technology behind the card. In its terms, Whop says it “is not a financial institution” and that “all payment services are provided by third-party payment service providers and their bank partners.”
Whop’s financial partners
Payment providers and their partner banks
Hold the money. Whop’s terms say a balance is held for your benefit “with a partner bank (Member FDIC) in the United States, and with other financial partners in other countries.”
Third National
Card issuer
Issues the card. Whop’s card terms say Whop “is the technology provider for the card but is not the issuer, creditor or lender.” Cards run on the Visa network.
Identity checks
Through Whop
Whop checks who you are using third-party identity verification services. Casa never receives your ID documents.
